Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get digital photos or prints? How many photos will I get and how long does it take to get them?

I always give full resolution digital images via Dropbox (or cloud based platform of your choice) with no watermark on them so you can have them printed wherever, whenever you like! I only provide prints and photo books with wedding packages A, B, & C. If you are getting video done too, I usually put the edited photos on the flash drive with the videos that are sent via USPS, most commonly for weddings.  


I usually try and get pictures back to people in within 2-7 days. It depends on how much of a backlog I have, if I get really busy then it will take longer, if I don't have anything in queue then it might only take a couple days. Weddings take longer, it depends on number of hours of coverage, but will be delivered within 2-4 weeks. 


Usually 60-100 photos delivered to you per 1 hour of shooting time outdoors. Usually 30-60 photos per 1 hour when shooting indoors using flash. These are general guidelines that applies to most sessions, but sometimes its less, sometimes its more. 


Edited photos are delivered at full resolution (average of 8-28 MB each photo) via DropBox which simply is sent to you as a link to download the images. You can also easily share them with friends, family, and business associates. The photos will be there forever so you never have to worry about losing them! If you have an alternative way of receiving photos like Google Drive, or other cloud based sites you prefer I can upload there instead of Dropbox. For Dropbox there is a 2GB limit for free accounts, so if I provide over 100 photos there is a good chance it will be over 2GB, so you can do the free trial of a higher level account to access and download photos, and then cancel the trial before it charges you. Or you can provide a USB flash drive and a pre-paid envelope and I can mail it to you.


I do not give all the photos taken, as many are nearly identical, test shots, bad photos, etc. and it is not reasonable to upload that much data to Dropbox. If you want all photos taken, you provide the SD card I shoot on, and I give you it back when our session is done. Full payment must be made before you receive SD card back either in cash or prepaid via an app like Venmo, Cashapp. You would be waiving my editing process at your choice, and price would stay the same. 

 

What parts of Seattle & Tacoma do you provide service to? Do you charge extra for travel expenses?

  • I will travel up to 80 miles from St. Anne Hospital. Within 8 miles of St. Anne Hospital, there is NO extra travel fee. Outside of that is charged 50 cents per mile, round trip. Also, there is a $10 charge every 50 miles round trip. So 18 miles away, is 36 miles round trip, $18 total travel fee. If it were 60 miles away, 120 miles round trip, it'd be a $80 travel fee. 


  • If the travel fee is more than the normal $25 new client deposit, the deposit would increase to price of travel fee and then apply to returning clients as well. I.E. if the travel fee will be $40, the deposit would be $40, not the normal $25. For events, the travel fee would be added to the total, and the normal 50% deposit would be required. 


  • If you're having an event out of Seattle/Tacoma area, I am willing to travel there, contact me to discuss. 

What form of payments do you accept?

  • Credit & debit cards via Venmo, Cash App, Zelle & Google Pay. Cash, checks and money orders can be used to pay the balance, but not for the deposit. If you use a credit card through Venmo or Cash App there is a 3% fee. Full payment must be made before any photos or videos are delivered. 

Do you require a deposit for weddings and events? How about non-events?

  • Yes, deposits are required for any event (something that has to be a specific date and time like a wedding or birthday party). I take a 50% deposit to book me, remaining 50% due the day of the event. Deposits are non-refundable, only exception is if I am unable to make it due to an unforeseen emergency. You can not cancel and receive a refund as I will have turned down other potential business to hold that time and date for you. ​ 


  • For a non event, a $25 deposit is required to schedule any session if you are a new client.  If we've worked together before, no deposit required to schedule. 

Do you shoot video as well? Do you have a drone?

Yes! Check out my video section here. 

I do not have a drone. 

Do you shoot rain or shine, what about last minute cancellations?

I will shoot even it's drizzling rain or snow flurries. If the precipitation is so severe that it would damage my equipment we will reschedule. I generally check weather a couple hours before since it can always change last minute. You can check the forecast but don't look for only sunny days, partly cloudy days are really good days to shoot on. Also keep in mind the sunrise and sunset times for your selected day. Be advised for events, the deposit is non-refundable so please prepare for an indoor alternative in case your event has bad weather.  

Do you have a studio?

No, but we can rent studio time somewhere if you want to.  I can come to your home or another indoor location you choose like a hotel.  

What's your refund policy?

The only time I offer a refund is if:


1. For non events and you're a new client and pay the $25 deposit and cancel at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled session. If you reschedule your first session, you can no longer get a refund of the $25.


2. For events, if I am unable to attend because of an unforeseen emergency (for example a major car accident) on my end, the 50% deposit would be refunded. If you have an emergency on your end, I am willing to reschedule, if I have availability on the new date & time. There wouldn't be a refund because I will have been turning down other potential business for you. 


There are no other circumstances where a refund is offered.
